Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information we collect on freelawschool.blog, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. “We,” “us,” and “FreeLawSchool™” mean Pivot Holding Company LLC, which owns and operates this site.
Please don’t send us confidential legal information. FreeLawSchool™ is an educational service. Nothing you send through this site, by email, or in a Strategy Session is protected by attorney-client privilege. Do not share details about a lawsuit, a debt, a dispute, or anything you would only tell your own lawyer.
1. Information you give us
- When you download a free resource, such as Built Backwards™: The 12-Point LLC Test: your first name and email address.
- When you book a free Business Structure Strategy Session: your name, email address, the time you choose, and your answer to any booking question.
- When you answer the Strategy Session eligibility questions: your answers are used on your device to decide whether a Session is a fit. We do not store them.
- When you buy a product: your name, email address, billing details, and what you bought. Card payments are handled by our payment processor. We never see or store your full card number.
- When you contact us: whatever you choose to put in your message.
The 12-Point LLC Test is a printable PDF. You check it on paper. Your answers stay with you and are never sent to us.
2. Information collected automatically
When you visit the site, our hosting, analytics, and advertising tools collect basic technical information, such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you visit, the page that sent you here, and the date and time of your visit. Some of this is collected with cookies and similar tools (see Section 5).
Our emails may tell us whether a message was opened and which links were clicked. We use this to see which emails are useful.
3. How we use your information
- To send you the resource you asked for and the emails that go with it
- To schedule and hold Strategy Sessions and send confirmations and reminders
- To process orders, deliver downloads, and answer support requests
- To send educational emails and offers, which you can stop at any time
- To measure whether our ads and pages work, and to improve the site
- To keep the site secure, prevent fraud, and follow the law
4. Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with companies that run parts of the site for us, and only so they can do that work:
| Service | What it does for us |
|---|---|
| Mailchimp (Intuit) | Stores your email signup and sends our emails |
| Zoom | Runs the Strategy Session calendar and video meetings |
| Stripe | Processes card payments |
| Google (Google Ads, Google tag) | Measures ad results, such as whether a visitor downloaded the test or booked a Session |
| Our website host and site tools | Host the site, speed it up, and keep it secure |
Each of these companies has its own privacy policy. We may also share information if the law requires it, to protect our rights or someone’s safety, or as part of a sale or transfer of our business.
5. Cookies and advertising
Cookies are small files your browser stores. We use them to keep the site working, to understand how visitors use it, and to measure our Google Ads. Google may use cookies to show that someone who clicked our ad later downloaded the test or booked a Session.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. You can control how Google uses ad information at adssettings.google.com. Blocking cookies won’t stop you from downloading the test or booking a Session.
6. Your choices
- Email: every email has an unsubscribe link. One click stops marketing emails. We may still send messages about an order or a booked Session.
- Access, correction, and deletion: you can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, fix it, or delete it. Email us at the address below. We may need to confirm it’s you first, and we may keep some records the law requires us to keep, such as order records.
- State privacy rights: depending on where you live, your state’s law may give you more rights. Contact us and we’ll respond as your state’s law requires.
7. How long we keep it
We keep your information as long as we need it for the reasons in this policy. Email signups stay until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. Order and payment records are kept as long as tax and business laws require.
8. How we protect it
We use services with industry-standard security, and we limit who can see your information. No website or email system is completely secure, so we can’t promise perfect security.
9. Children
This site is for adults. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Where your information is kept
We are based in the United States, and our service providers store information in the United States. If you visit from another country, your information will be handled under U.S. law.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. When we do, we’ll change the effective date at the top. If a change is significant, we’ll post a notice on the site or email you.
